Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join a well-established accounting office serving both individual and business clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, working in a collaborative environment, and contributing across multiple areas of accounting and tax services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with individual and business tax matters
• Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliation activities
• Process payroll and payroll tax reporting
• Work directly with clients to provide responsive and professional service
• Support and maintain an existing portfolio of clients
• Aid in ongoing accounting and financial reporting needs

Qualifications

• Recent experience working within an accounting office environment
• Experience working directly with clients
• Strong knowledge of:
• Individual taxation
• Business taxation
• Bookkeeping
• Payroll processing
• Payroll taxes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities effectively

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred
• Accounting experience within the last 5 years required
