Staff Accountant

Due to the urgent nature of this hiring need, only candidates currently living in Mid-Willamette and Southern Willamette Valley region will be considered. This role is on-site in Albany, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, financial statements, and related account analysis.
• Perform detailed general ledger, balance sheet, bank, and cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain accounting for fixed assets, leases, property taxes, rebates, vendor programs, and other assigned financial activities.
• Research account discrepancies, perform financial and cost analysis, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Aid with audits, internal controls, process documentation, reporting requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance highly preferred.
• 2+ years of recent general ledger accounting experience required. Requires recent, hands-on experience preparing journal entries, performing bank and general ledger reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
• GAAP knowledge and a solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within an ERP or accounting system.

Pay

$60K-$75K/year. (DOE)
