About the role
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with tax preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Handle daily accounting tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable processing
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis
