The Accountant is responsible for performing a broad range of accounting and finance functions for Tesco. The role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The position works closely with the Finance team and cross-functional business partners to maintain accurate financial information and support the company’s overall financial operations. What you will do: Perform accounting functions as required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and company policy and proceduresEnhance/develop/maintain aspects of project accounting from receipt of order to closing the projectReconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceProvide support to the Tesco Finance team for budgets and financial reports to assist company leadership in understanding the business’ performanceAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reportingAssist with annual auditsMaintain fixed asset tracking and reconciliations including monthly depreciationProvide indirect leadership and support to the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processesProvide support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function on an ad-hoc basisAssist with weekly job cost upload, ensuring accurate posting to general ledgerAssist with ERP system maintenance/data integrityIdentify and recommend process improvementsOther duties as assigned What you bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered2–3 years of related accounting or finance experience preferredConstruction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based industry experience preferredExperience with Sage ERP preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, project, and finance teamsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalismAbility to handle sensitive financial and company information with a high level of confidentialityComfortable working in a fast-paced office environment and supporting cross-functional teams Join our team to innovate the future of water and wastewater.
