Staff Accountant

Development and Construction Accountant Location: Miami, Florida – On-siteEmployment Type: Full-time, ExemptCompensation: $100,000–$120,000 base salary plus a 5% annual bonusReports to: Controllerttg Talent Solutions is recruiting a Staff Accountant III for a well-established affordable multifamily housing organization that develops and manages its own residential communities.This hands-on position combines property management and real estate development accounting. The successful candidate will support month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, construction job costing, lender draws, and cash management across multiple properties and active development projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.Complete general ledger, bank, trustee, and subsidiary-ledger reconciliations.Maintain job-cost reports and reconcile project costs to lender draws.Prepare monthly development draw packages and budget-versus-actual reporting.Monitor cash positions, vendor payments, and project funding.Support audits, cost certifications, and lender and investor reporting.Coordinate with property management teams, construction personnel, lenders, and external auditors.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.Five to eight years of relevant accounting experience.Property management, real estate development, or construction accounting experience.Strong understanding of the complete accounting cycle and financial reporting.Construction job-cost and development draw experience strongly preferred.Proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting systems.Strong organizational, communication, and deadline-management skills.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law.
