Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
