Responsibilities
- Perform basic accounting functions, such as general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Assist the accounting team in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced start-up healthcare environment.
- Assist the senior and manager of their division with ad hoc requests such as additional analyses for the finance or operations teams.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in month-end close and fixed assets tracking.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Perform basic data analysis to report recent and historical financial performance.
- Perform regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budget.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of various business processes to improve and support business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
Skills
- Proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office®).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with General Ledger (GL) / Accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine significant findings, and present information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining accountability under strict deadlines.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
