Staff Accountant

Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to support marketing initiatives to drive BSNB's short and long-term strategic growth goals across product lines.
About the role
As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate cash balancing, processing daily unposted items, investment accounting, quarterly financial reporting, and various bank accounting systems. In addition, you will maintain correspondent bank balances, reconciliations, and serve as a back-up for accounts payable.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- One to three years prior accounting experience required; in the financial services industry preferred
- Experience with financial reconciliations required; in the financial services industry preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers/figures with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a group or independently
