It is an exciting time; our biotech company is growing quickly and needs the best team members to join us. We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. In this role, you will own the day-to-day management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, support the month-end close process, and assist with payroll activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with multi-state tax and regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations in NetSuiteSupport month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportingAssist with payroll processing and related payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and timelinessEnsure compliance with multi-state tax regulations and reporting requirements across AP, AR, and payrollAssist on special projects related to process improvement, systems optimization, and general accounting initiativesSupport NetSuite ERP administration, configuration, and day-to-day system operations.Maintain system data, reports, saved searches, and business processes.Support procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts and financial institutions, and prepare and present weekly cash forecasts and AP bill payment filesCreate and distribute client invoices, including for major pharmaceutical and biotech partners, across NetSuite, client billing portals, and Salesforce-to-NetSuite workflows; manage cash application and respond to AR mailbox inquiriesCalculate and record interest accruals on notes, convertibles, and other financing instruments, and process recurring accrual, reclass, and allocation journal entriesMaintain accurate vendor, employee, and entity records in NetSuite, and build and maintain saved searches and custom reports to support Accounting and cross-functional reporting needsSupport payroll allocation by department/class, including creating, validating, and running allocation schedules and batches for journal entry creation Position Requirements 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closeSystems; NetSuite, Salesforce, Procurify, Rippling, Google Sheets, Advanced Excel. Strong working knowledge of multi-state compliance and tax requirementsStrong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Salary: Compensation based on experience education and candidate qualifications.
