About the role
RLS is a trusted leader in the HVAC/R industry, delivering innovative and reliable solutions that support contractors, distributors, and industry partners. The role involves supporting the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring vendor invoices, approvals, payments, reconciliations, and documentation are processed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Support the Accounts Payable (AP) function by reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
- Prepare vendor payments, assist with payment runs, and ensure payments are issued accurately and timely.
- Maintain accurate AP records, vendor documentation, and supporting files for audit and reporting purposes.
- Monitor AP aging, open invoices, credits, and outstanding vendor items to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Provide backup support for customer invoicing, payment application, and other AR activities as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve AP processes, strengthen controls, and support accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for Accounts Payable experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year college or university.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.

Pay
- Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday.
