Staff Accountant

Work Matters

• Preparation of journal entries, completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of the facility's fixed assets register.
• Analyzes actual-to-budget variance of facility operating expenses.
• Reviews accounts payable coding and aging.
• Serves as backup for bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Participates in monthly accounting close as assigned.
• Aids the Controller in the production of the Monthly Operating Report (MOR).
• Aids the Controller in completing external requests, such as interim and year-end audits, workers' compensation audit, etc.
• Manages petty cash.
• Deposits cash receipts timely and accurately.
• Presents a weekly staffing report.
• Presents vendor 1099s.
• Completes a variety of clerical projects as assigned.

Experience Matters

• Two (2) - Five (5) years of experience in accounting and month-end closing activities preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) preferred.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are needed.

Compensation

This is a full-time role. We are excited to speak with all qualified candidates and will consider their experience and skill level. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000.00 annually.
