About the role

You will make positive contributions and observations that help us improve financial results, working cross-functionally and partnering with other key departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly close process to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and create monthly journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances monthly and/or quarterly.
- Take responsibility for job cost accounting for various single-family housing developments and multi-family projects.
- Manage fixed asset schedule and post depreciation journal entries each month.
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable on an as-needed basis.
- Collaborate with project managers to complete multi-family project cost reviews.
- Collaborate with operations team to continue to drive process improvement and cost savings.
- Assist with preparation of audit workpapers.
- Ad-hoc special projects.
Requirements
- Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal.
- Intermediate mathematical abilities; mastery of Excel formulas.
- Aptitude for prioritizing and coordinating a variety of tasks.
- Independent and proactive problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Disposition for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
- Mastery of entire Microsoft Suite preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Dynamics (GP) preferred.
- Prior experience with general ledger, month end close and reconciliations a plus, but not required.
- Exposure to construction industry a plus including exposure to job cost, construction WIP accounting.
- Results driven, energetic and self-motivated along with having the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred.
- Desire to obtain CPA license preferred.

Pay
Exempt, $70,000-$80,000 annually.
Schedule
Monday to Friday. Required to work from corporate office a minimum of four days per week with flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Location
On-site / in person, Indianapolis, IN. Indoor office setting with a moderately noisy environment with light traffic, office equipment, and guest entrance. No travel required.
