About the role
As a Staff Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and sales/use tax & licensing support. You will also help collect pertinent information for third-party audits and maintain a strong understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other general financial transactions within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Follow company-established accounting processes.
- Recommend accounting procedure adjustments by analyzing current processes, documenting, and reporting to the Accounting Manager.
- Support timely monthly and year-end financial close.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and prepare general ledger entries with appropriate backup documentation.
- Assist the Accounts Payable Specialist with needed research.
- Participate in year-end financial statement audit preparations and any auditor fieldwork throughout the year.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of dealer management systems (CDK/Intellidealer) and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, ODBC).
- Intermediate or higher Excel proficiency (v/hlookups, pivots, iferror, if/else statements, matching, special functions, indexing).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Accounting, or Finance strongly preferred.
- Internship in accounting or an accounting-related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (shift as needed, with overtime applicable). On-site office setting with low to moderate noise levels.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, kneeling, and lifting as essential job functions.
- Normal physical agility required.
- Use of both hands necessary.
