STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.
Responsibilities
- Daily intra-company billings
- Payroll processing
- Accounts payable
- Assist with month-end financial accounting responsibilities
- Perform all functions and duties in accordance with IRS and current acceptable accounting principles and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounts payable/payroll, preferably in a health care setting
- Working knowledge of personal computers, payroll/accounts payable systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to handle diverse and stress-related situations calmly
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Effective oral and written communication and guest relation skills
- Strong organizational and computer technical skills
- Ability to set priorities
