Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Assist accounts payable with 3‑way match & vendor payments.
• Prepare journal entries for period end (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Report & reconcile monthly intercompany transactions, quarterly reports, and generate financial statements.
• Own the full cycle of reporting on fixed assets, including sub‑ledger & CIP account transactions, and perform various account reconciliations such as bank reconciliation.
• Prepare the monthly financial reporting package for the parent company.
• Prepare and analyze various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
• Manage the physical inventory process of indirect materials as needed.
• Cross‑train in other departments based on internal needs.
• Perform other special projects as required from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an accounting major.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills for multi‑faceted projects.
• Hands‑on, collaborative work style.
• JDE EnterpriseOne or equivalent (preferred).
• Sage for fixed assets management system or equivalent (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain the trial balance of accounts month to month.
• Basic ability to analyze financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level. Employees on the production floor must wear steel‑toe safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, chemical‑resistant gloves, and bump caps. The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, industrial hazards, chemicals, vibration, and loud noises. A minimum 40‑hour workweek is required; overtime may be needed. The pace of work is steady and fast.
