Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our expanding accounting team. This position offers strong opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports.
• Aid in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately.
• Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.
• Aid in tax preparation and related filings as needed.
• Perform additional accounting duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPA certification preferred.
