About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule and the opportunity to transition to a hybrid arrangement after completing training.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
- Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and internal-control activities.
- Investigate variances between standard and actual production costs.
- Reconcile physical inventory counts to the general ledger and assist with obsolescence reserves.
- Reconcile benefit invoices, employee deductions, and related expenses.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable posting and customer billing.
- Track capital expenditures and maintain fixed-asset and depreciation records.
- Audit plant equipment records and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Prepare intercompany offset letters.
- Respond to branch accounting requests and process sales commissions.
- Partner with accounting and operational teams to improve processes and financial accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least three years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP formulas and PivotTables.
- Working knowledge of sales and use tax.
- NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multicultural team.
