Responsibilities
- Aid in the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, conducting general account analysis, and performing account reconciliations.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to company policies.
- Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and support internal and external audits.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions at month end, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and timely reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
- Meet with the finance team overseas once a week or as needed.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including preparing local taxes and coordinating quarterly and yearly reports with the tax firm.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet critical deadlines.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with inventory management is beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
