Staff Accountant

About the role

Key Cooperative is currently hiring a Staff Accountant to join our team in Roland, Iowa (15 miles NE of Ames, Iowa). In this role, you will be involved in the corporate accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Daily ACH & Wire processing
• Intercompany bank transfers
• Creation of daily bank deposit and related bank transfer
• Balancing of internal accounts and supplier prepaid accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Running day and month end process
• Perform year end close duties and assist with data for year-end audit
• Balancing monthly vendor statements, along with large vendor processing
• Balancing leases and maintenance of lease spreadsheet
• Assisting with maintaining fixed assets

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year accounting degree or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license

• Outstanding work ethic with ability to pay attention to the details
• Ability to always project a positive attitude to customers and employees while providing outstanding and courteous customer service
