Staff Accountant
What You Will Do
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for areas including payroll, building leases, and other assigned areas of responsibility as required
- Prepare Intercompany and affiliate entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all key assigned accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Aid in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial reports
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards
- Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Aid in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data
- Perform other duties as required
What We Are Looking For
- Typically 2 to 4 years of related professional experience
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or global equivalent in related discipline
- Basic understanding of industry practices
- Basic planning/organizational skills and techniques
- Good decision making, analysis and problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic presentation and public speaking skills
- Basic interpersonal skills
- Developing professional credibility
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of Great Plains or comparable financial systems, preferred
- Proficiency and ability to learn in various related computer software applications
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong ability to understand and communicate financial concepts

Pay & Benefits
The posted range for this position is $63,000 - $75,000, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a target bonus not reflected in the posted range.
