Staff Accountant

About the role
This position can be part-time (20 hours per week) during the off-season and work up to full-time hours January-April, depending on the experience and workload. The role is in-office and involves supporting the office by wearing multiple hats within a small team.
Responsibilities
- Preparation/review of partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, individual, trust/estate tax returns
- Communicating with clients as a trusted advisor regarding tax compliance and planning
- Corresponding with taxing authorities regarding tax notices as needed
- Performing tax research and staying current on latest federal and state tax law changes
- Aiding with office coverage as needed due to the small office environment
Requirements
- CPA license or EA is highly preferred
- A minimum of three years of experience
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client engagements
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Qualifications
- Strong background in tax preparation and consulting
