Staff Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team at Firestone Walker’s Brewery headquarters in Paso Robles. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our monthly accounting close and will have the opportunity to lead the accounting for much of the Brewery’s operations.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounting areas including, but not limited to, fixed assets, inventory, cash, prepaid expenses, receivables, and sales
• Managing certain bank and payment processes
• Analyzing, investigating, and documenting account and margin variances
• Reviewing inventory count sheets, unit conversions, and related adjustments
• Ongoing process improvement, with a focus on improving quality and efficiency
• Contributing to the preparation of various tax filings and internal reports
• Maintaining excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining strong attention to detail, initiative, and a team-oriented desire to help
• Performing other duties and projects on an ad hoc basis
