Staff Accountant
About the role
FIJI Water is seeking a Staff Accountant to support both domestic and international accounting operations. This role will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office and will work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including drafting SOPs
- Support monthly financial reporting and track key A/R and A/P performance metrics (KPIs)
- Aid in year-end audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules and PBC requests for both consolidated and statutory audits
- Prepare and consolidate bi-weekly cash reporting for Treasury and executive leadership; assist with annual FBAR reporting
- Provide support on ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed
- Support the ERP system implementation transition from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion, including data validation, testing, and process documentation
- Prepare and file various government reports, including city compliance filings, property tax returns, and required surveys
- Collaborate with business partners across multiple business units to prepare intercompany billings and quarterly intercompany confirmations
- Assist with quarterly ASC 842 lease completeness testing
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the Accounting function
- Support cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and monitoring of standard vs. actual costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) with the ability to leverage tools and technology to improve efficiency
- Experience with Oracle EBS or Fusion is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proactive in identifying, resolving, and clearly communicating issues
Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000-$85,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
