Position Description Evergreen Trading is seeking a talented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day accounting function while gaining exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to process improvements while building a strong foundation in corporate accounting and reporting. Duties And Responsibilities Support the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and operating expense analysis.Review and audit employee expense activity in Concur and reconcile corporate credit card and employee-related balance sheet accounts.Prepare third-party invoices and review vendor payment requests.Perform operating expense (OPEX) analysis against budget and prior-year results.Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by providing OPEX insights and supporting schedules.Maintain amortization schedules for fixed assets and prepaid expenses.Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy across multiple entities.Assist with annual audit and tax processes, including preparation of supporting documentation.Contribute to ongoing process improvements and support ad hoc projects as needed. Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2–3 years of relevant experience; public accounting experience is a plus.Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.Experience with NetSuite and Concur is preferred.Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., for data analysis, automation, or workflow optimization) is a plus.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions and departments Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 The above represents the expected base salary range for this role.
