What You Will Be Doing
- Assist with monthly accounting close procedures
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial transactions and supporting documentation
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities
- Prepare and maintain Excel-based reports and schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
- Research accounting questions and help improve internal processes
- Participate in special projects as business needs arise
- Aid in the move from QuickBooks Online to Xero, including data checks, account mapping, testing, documentation, and workflow improvements
How You'll Work
- Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and cross-functional Dream Giveaway teams across Operations, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Technology
- Interact with business leadership, including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), and collaborate with Jumbo Group teams across Finance and Business Performance
- Ask questions rather than make assumptions, contributing to a culture of accuracy and shared learning
- Receive and apply coaching and feedback in a constructive and open manner
- Collaborate with accounting software vendors, external accountants, and auditors as required
What We Would Like You To Bring
- Absolutely ask thoughtful questions, apply feedback, and produce accurate work while building a strong accounting foundation
- Bring a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field with strong academic performance and understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis
- Have familiarity with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar
- Be able to ask thoughtful questions, research accounting issues, and apply what you learn to support real-world business decisions
- Maintain accurate records, keep workpapers organized, and complete reconciliations and reports with a high degree of accuracy while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Show strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Be able to receive coaching, apply feedback, and improve work and processes over time
- Show initiative and a bias toward identifying process improvements
- Approach work collaboratively and comfortably working directly with senior leadership

$55,000 - $60,000 USD p/a
