About the role
The business aspires to grow profitably over the next few years by using an aggressive acquisition and organic growth strategy that brings together the best of our local brands’ team, people and processes. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to be based out of our location in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial and operational reports.
- Prepare and upload accurate monthly journal entries.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss (P&L) statements.
- Aid with all monthly close tasks as assigned, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
- Aid in the annual budget preparation process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance department's objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- 1+ years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas), experience with shared drives, and collaborative spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- A self-starter mentality and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with following systems is a plus: Sage Intacct, Service Titan, Blackline.

Pay
$65,000 – $80,000 base salary with bonus potential.
Schedule
Initial Training (Month 1): 100% In-Office (Monday–Friday) to ensure seamless onboarding and team integration.
Post-Training (Month 2+): Hybrid schedule consisting of 4 days in office and 1 day at home per week.
