What You Will Do

  • Performs daily accounting activities, such as new vendor setup, expense report and sub-application review.
  • Create and execute general journal entries on a daily basis based on supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP.
  • Executes month-end close activities, including maintaining monthly and quarterly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and work in process schedules.
  • Aids in the preparation of documentation as requested by external auditors.
  • Prepares special financial reports as requested by management by analyzing account information and trends.
  • Initiates accounting research to ensure all transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supports the accounting team by performing other assigned duties as needed.
  • Supports continuous improvement in the department by reviewing, recommending and implementing better methods for existing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Strong Analytical skills with a working knowledge of current tax laws.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, verifies own work to ensure quality work product.
  • Experience with multiple software platforms, such as Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, SAGE, ERP systems, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-3 Years of Tax Accounting Experience
  • College Degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Experience with online tax filings, preparation of corporate, sales and general business tax returns
  • Experience with Tax Research
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
