A Brief Overview As a Staff Accountant at ASICS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the cycle of accounting tasks including month end accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Leadership Responsibilities This position does not have people leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do Prepares and posts journal entries (reversing, recurring, intercompany, standard), analyze and assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes.Analyze & reconcile account balances for various financial transactions, general ledger balances, financial records as well as research and report any variances.Respond to information requests, review financial data, and assist in preparing supporting documentation. Prepare reports as assigned for internal and external auditors.Assist in implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures as well adhere to rigorous internal controls. Recommends improvements to internal controls.Preparing intercompany (AHQ and other ASICS region) debit + credit notes, resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner and reconcile the balances to ensure all parties agree.Adheres to all company policies and proceduresEmbodies and demonstrates company ethics and valuesAbides by all federal, state and local laws How You'll Be Successful Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Footwear / Apparel Accounting background preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong numeracy, good problem-solving and analytical skills.Highly organized and detail oriented.Willing to adjust for departmental workload changes.Skilled at critical thinking and using logic to identify appropriate solutions to problems.Ability to work efficiently and multitasking. What You'll Need Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Finance, Accounting and/or equivalent training, education or work experience required1-3 years accounting/finance experience requiredExperience with SAP-FMS and Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting requiredIntermediate-level experience using Microsoft Excel requiredComputer skills: Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) requiredExperience in the Footwear + Apparel in retail/wholesale industry preferred SALARY / PAY RANGE: $28.37-$31.25 PAY TRANSPARENCY: To encourage pay transparency, promote pay equity, and proactively address regulations, ASICS America Corporation will comply with all applicable state or local laws or regulations which require employers to provide pay or salary range information to job applicants and employees.
