Staff Accountant

About the role

APD seeks an accounting professional to join our growing organization. This is an entry-level position with significant growth potential for the right candidate. The Staff Accountant supports the Finance Department with a variety of administrative and accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Financial Closing & Analysis
• Project and Employee Metric Reporting
• Vendor and Sub-Consultant Invoice Processing
• Processing Business Credit Card Transactions
• Client Invoice Submissions and Document Flow
• Assistance with Corporate Budget
• Other duties assigned by Owners, CFO, and Finance Manager

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with pivot tables, lookup functions, other formulas and nesting
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Positive team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
• Experience with cost accounting and analysis

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Pay

$65,000 - $75,000 every two weeks
