Staff Accountant

Selmet, a leader in precision titanium castings for aerospace and defense, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our Springfield, OR manufacturing operations. Located in Albany, Oregon, with a closing date of Oct 5, 2026.

About the role

In this role, you will handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and month-end close activities. You'll assist with cost accounting, inventory analysis, and financial reporting to ensure accurate, timely data for operations and leadership. Working cross-functionally, you'll help maintain internal controls, support audits, improve accounting processes, and contribute to a culture of precision, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and reporting
• Assist with cost accounting and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations
• Maintain and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Prepare variance analyses and financial reports for management
• Support internal and external audits with schedules and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Collaborate with operations and other departments on financial data and budgets
• Identify and support process improvements within the accounting function
