Staff Accountant

About the role

The role is dedicated to providing comprehensive support services to foster youth and adoptive families. This includes counseling, mentoring, and facilitating access to community resources.

Responsibilities

• Counseling foster youth and their families on mental health issues
• Mentoring foster youth to help them navigate life transitions
• Facilitating access to community resources such as education, housing, and employment opportunities
• Collaborating with other professionals in the field to provide holistic care

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in social services or counseling
• Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations
• Experience working with foster youth and their families
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Pay
