About the role
As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will support a variety of accounting and accounts payable functions, including:
- Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, credit card transactions, and intercompany billings.
- Prepare timely and accurate check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Assist with annual IRS Form 1099 preparation and filing requirements.
- Perform monthly and annual escheatment activities, including reconciliations and due diligence communications.
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Support cash receipt and cash disbursement activities for National Guard associations.
- Assist with budgeting and financial analysis projects as needed.
- Respond to external audit requests and provide supporting documentation for assigned accounting areas.
- Collaborate with team members to strengthen financial processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of corporate Accounts Payable experience.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience working with Infor or another enterprise Accounts Payable system.

- Ability to manage complex intercompany expense allocations and reconciliation activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, Finance team members, and senior leadership.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Self-motivated team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
