About the role
As an Experienced Consultant in Technology Audit & Advisory, you will receive training and mentorship to deepen your understanding of business processes and build technical skills. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, compiling and analyzing data, documenting findings, and developing professional relationships with clients and project teams. You will also learn time and project management while taking ownership of assignments.
This role focuses on helping clients manage technology-related risks, protect and enhance enterprise value, and incorporate innovation such as AI and automation into technology processes. You will work on technology enablement by leveraging analytics, AI, automation, and other tools to provide deeper, more efficient analysis of clients’ technology risks. The team stays current with emerging risks and trends through supported certifications and training.

- Gather, summarize, and examine data to support audit and advisory activities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and project teams.
- Document findings and summarize recommendations for clients.
- Stay current with trends and developments in data, technology, and high-growth areas such as cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, and analytics.
Requirements
- Experience with or understanding of:
- IT audit methodologies and developing audit deliverables (e.g., process flows, work programs, audit reports, control summaries).
- Internal control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL).
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions, particularly technology implications and compliance requirements.
- Trends in data and technology, including cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, and enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Analytics and technology enablement tools (e.g., automation, AI/ML).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
- 1+ years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions is a plus.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP) is a plus.

Pay
Starting salary range: $62,000.00 - $93,000.00 (full-time equivalent). Placement in the range depends on experience, skills, and geographic work location.
Annual bonus target opportunity: $2,000.
Estimated total cash range (salary + bonus): $64,000.00 - $95,000.00.
Schedule
Protiviti practices a hybrid workplace model, combining in-person and remote work. The ratio of remote to in-person work varies by client, project, and team needs. In-person work may include local Protiviti offices or client sites, with potential for local or out-of-state travel based on project requirements.
