Responsibilities
- Mentor, train, and coach interns and consultants to complete project work plans.
- Identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Strengthen client relationships and deepen communication, trust, and networking abilities.
- Assume responsibility for decision-making in project scope, work plans, staffing, deliverables, and methodologies.
- Assess and advise on technology-related risks, including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, and IT general controls.
- Incorporate analytics, AI, and automation into audit work for deeper, more efficient analysis.
- Stay current with emerging risks and trends through supported certifications and training.
- Translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
- Supervise teams, including mentoring, oversight, and review of work.
- Document findings and summarize recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
- 2+ years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions is a plus.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar is preferred.
You should also have:
- Experience with IT audit methodologies and developing audit deliverables (process flows, work programs, audit reports, control summaries).
- Understanding of internal control frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.).
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions, particularly technology implications and requirements.
- Exposure to or interest in trends in cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), disaster recovery, and systems development methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
- Experience establishing and cultivating business relationships and professional networks.
- Supervisory experience, including mentoring, oversight, and team coordination.

Work Environment
Protiviti practices a hybrid workplace model, combining in-person and remote work. The ratio of remote to in-person work varies by client, project, and team. You may work in local Protiviti offices or on client sites, which may require local or out-of-state travel.
Pay
Starting salary range: $84,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and geographic work location. The annual bonus target is 10%, bringing the estimated total cash range to $92,400 - $137,500.
