Sr. Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant

About the Role

Peoplevisor is seeking Workday Advanced Compensation consultants with HCM systems experience and expertise in Compensation and Advanced Compensation. The consultant will provide expert guidance and delivery on all project engagements, manage budgets, and deliver projects profitably.

Key Expectations

• Act as primary/lead consultant on Compensation projects of any size or strategic importance.
• Demonstrate superior communication, consultative and presentation skills with solid technical abilities to lead client engagements.
• Perform data loads, validation and extraction of Workday data (iLoads, EIB, workbooks, XML, etc.).
• Capture business requirements, provide options, share best practices within the Workday ecosystem, and participate in business development discussions.
• Continuously increase Workday knowledge through training and monitoring Workday Community postings.
• Develop relationships with Workday employees and partners as a Peoplevisor representative.
• Design and implement solutions to solve highly complex technical and business problems.
• Account for data validation and integrity issues.
• Collaborate with project managers and consultants to forecast hours, provide weekly updates, and adjust forecasts.
• Adhere to the Workday Methodology and complete unit testing.
• Provide strong recommendations, backed by experience, and support them confidently.
• Configure processes, drive design, and learn as needed.
• Lead client testing efforts during UAT.
• Ensure successful deployment of the workstream into production.
• Understand and work toward responsibilities of the next level.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Workday Certification in HCM, Core Compensation & Advanced Compensation preferred; if not certified, certification will be required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Master’s degree a plus).
• Completed 3‑5 projects within the Workday ecosystem.
• 3+ years of Workday experience as a consultant.
• CPP certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies.
• Led implementations specific to HCM, Core Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation.
• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self‑training.
• Experience deploying multiple HCM projects simultaneously (a plus).
• Expected travel of approximately 40% depending on project.
