Sr. Volunteer Engagement Specialist

Position Overview

The Sr. Volunteer Engagement Specialist supports the engagement of volunteers in the Northern New England Region. This role involves oversight of youth and young adult engagement, volunteer screening, and volunteer intake. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute expertise and serve as a resource for volunteer engagement best practices.
• Review volunteer satisfaction data and develop engagement and retention strategies.
• Implement strategies to drive volunteer engagement and provide input on volunteer engagement issues.
• Lead all programs related to Youth and Young Adult volunteer programs and train volunteer leaders.
• Facilitate formal and informal recognition efforts and events.
• Train and lead screening and training team volunteers.
• Serve as a liaison to internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Volunteer Management experience preferred.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail, intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications, knowledge of group dynamics, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs.
• Travel: Will involve 15% travel.
