Sr UX Writer

Nintendo of America Inc. partners closely with Nintendo Co., Ltd. to bring iconic franchises like Mario™, Donkey Kong™, The Legend of Zelda™, Metroid™, Animal Crossing™, Pikmin™, and Splatoon™ across the Americas through video games, hardware systems, and collaborations on entertainment initiatives such as feature films and theme parks.
About the role
This role is part of the Consumer Services department and focuses on writing useful, helpful copy to ensure usability standards and shape consistent customer and agent experiences across multiple omnichannel platforms, including Nintendo Support and My Support Dashboard. You will support the management, creation, and documentation of UX content while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels and languages.
Responsibilities
- Use writing and content design skills to craft clear, concise UI text for customer and agent experiences across multiple channels.
- Create and manage UX content documentation.
- Explore innovative solutions to address issues through content, images, and multimedia assets, leveraging product knowledge, common sense, and data.
- Ensure brand standards for voice and tone are maintained across all UX content.
- Drive adherence to UX writing and accessibility best practices.
- Maintain a UX writing foundation by helping create style guides, writing processes, collaborative guidelines, and content lifecycle management procedures.
- Contribute to the adoption of UX writing tools, technologies, and frameworks, including content research and metrics.
- Work closely and collaboratively with business stakeholders to balance compliance and user experience.
- Own complex or ambiguous content areas with minimal direction.
- Deliver high-quality, error-free content at scale while managing shifting requirements and tight deadlines.
- Influence content standards, patterns, or systems beyond individual deliverables.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in UX writing, editorial, marketing, copywriting, or related fields.
- Experience in UX-focused navigation and communication writing, shaping content for multi-channel platforms.
- Bonus points for experience with content migration, site inventory, audits, analysis, and SEO.
- Working knowledge of the design process and general UX design principles.
- Experience using and managing CMS/CCMS tools; bonus for experience migrating to CMS/CCMS.
- Ability to present to all levels within an organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience applying accessibility best practices to ensure content is clear, usable, and inclusive across digital experiences.
- Experience working with localization workflows and global content considerations is a plus.

Schedule
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid roles require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for the division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
Pay
This position includes a base pay range of $108,450—$173,550 USD, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
