About the role
Jellyvision makes ALEX®, the employee decision‑support platform trusted by thousands of employers and millions of people to make smart benefits choices. Profitably at scale for over $600 M in lifetime sales, the company is now tackling Medicare with a small, senior team building MyALEXHealth™ — a digital Medicare guide that helps people move from employer coverage into Medicare with clarity, confidence, and dignity. This incubation‑stage product embraces ambiguity as a feature, aiming to reduce decision stress, improve plan fit, and make a complex health‑financial decision feel helpful rather than overwhelming.
Responsibilities
- Write like a human being: draft interactive, branching advisor conversations that feel like a smart friend, not a robot reading a policy; also produce linear copy such as teaser and marketing videos, articles, and UX copy down to button labels and error states, keeping voice and tone consistent across product and marketing.
- Structure the branching and conditional logic so it’s followable, buildable, and testable: hand engineers clear requirements (the script and what the system must do), account for real‑world API data, and avoid “wait, the logic doesn’t work that way” moments after handoff.
- Direct the sound: generate and shape AI voiceover for the host so it sounds like a person, not a GPS; direct live VO talent when needed, pick the best takes, edit, mix, and caption to a launch‑ready standard.
- Get it live, and get it cleared: own content in the CMS from first draft to live URL, QA it against your own script, prep scripts for compliance review to ensure accuracy to Medicare program and federal rules, work with leadership on carrier and CMS feedback to make necessary changes without sacrificing charm.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a writing‑led, multi‑disciplinary role spanning interactive content, UX writing, conversational design, content strategy, or digital storytelling.
- Writes like people talk, with a natural sense of humor; thinks in systems and enjoys branching logic and messy data.
- Has an ear for voiceover — can detect when a line runs too long or lands too chipper.
- Detail‑oriented, especially in compliance; knows where “close enough” creates risk.
- Treats AI as a power tool, leveraging it where it helps and avoiding slop.
- Portfolio demonstrating the ability to make complicated information feel simple and dry content feel alive.
Pay
Remote position; salary range $115,000 – $130,000.
