Sr Technical Specialist IT

About the Role

Responsible on a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week basis for delivering clinical, financial, and patient management applications and the required technical infrastructure to support the enterprise and its various applications. The position will focus on one of four tracks: technical, clinical applications, financial, or patient management.

• Technical Track: Architectural planning, logical design, and deployment of client and server operating systems, NT/Novell servers, electronic messaging, and desktop design in a client-server environment.
• Network Track: Support for network infrastructure, routers, firewalls, phone switches, wireless connectivity, and carriers.
• Application Support: Internet/intranet design, networking services, protocols, and client/server applications, including Order Entry, Results Reporting, EMR, Charting, MARs, Scheduling, LTC, Critical Care, Home Care, Ambulatory Care, Physician Offices, Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, OR, Rehab, Dietary, ER, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Materials Management, Payroll, Human Resources, Time and Attendance, ADT, Registration, MPI, EDI, Patient Accounting, Collections, Managed Care Administration, and Medical Records Administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a similar field. If no degree, ten years of relevant experience. If a degree is held, five years of experience is required.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or an equivalent field preferred.
• 5 years of supervisory or project management experience.
• 7 years of experience in project management, applications design, technical support, capacity planning, and business needs analysis.
• 3 years of experience working in a large, multi-entity, multiple-application healthcare environment.
• 3 years of experience in strategic planning.

Schedule

• Standard bi-weekly hours: 75.00
• Scheduled work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend/holiday requirement: No
• On-call required: Yes, with rotation
• Work arrangement: Hybrid

Pay

Salary range: $114,338.25 – $157,212.41 (bi-weekly pay frequency). Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate’s experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
