Position Summary
The Sr. Technical Sales & Support Analyst is responsible for driving the support for all Defense Sales groups by providing technical support and responses for RFQs/RFPs and supporting technical requests from customers all while ensuring customers’ technical specifications are met. This position requires 4+ years of hands-on weapon experience, usage, product training and/or design, or demonstration. Expert knowledge in SIG product offerings and their applications is required. The Sr. Technical Sales & Support Analyst collaborates with Quality, Strategic Weapons Group, Defense Sales, visitors, and customers.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare all product samples being sent from SIG for evaluation and demonstration; working with QC and Strategic Weapons Group during final inspection and prepare weapons after QC-SWG approval for shipment.
- Independently plan and support VIP visits by providing technical support and demonstrations.
- Provide technical responses for RFQs/RFPs and support technical requests from customers all while ensuring customers’ technical specifications are met.
- Propose and analyze product configuration and recommend products based upon customer specifications.
- Independently provide product training, demonstration, instruction to customers, and participate in technical evaluations.
- Lead and direct Regional Directors and customers on SIG SAUER product usage.
- Provide expert technical advice to Sales force.
- Travel domestically and internationally at least 75% of the time.
- Engage in and actively volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
- Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
- Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
- Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Education/Experience & Skills
- High School diploma, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, and 4+ years of hands-on weapons experience, usage, product training and/or design, or demonstration.
- Expert knowledge in SIG product offerings and their application required. Military experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of competitor’s offerings.
- Excellent customer service skills/orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Extensive firearms experience.
- Ability to demonstrate advanced shooting skills on demand in front of an audience.
- Extensive knowledge of NATO and Mil Standard testing procedures.
- Ability to present under pressure to VIP and large delegations.
- Ability to diagnose and perform on the spot repairs on all SIG platforms.
- Must be aware and respectful of foreign cultures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Oracle experience preferred.
- Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
- Must be flexible, a team player, and possess the ability to multi-task and re-focus as needed.
- Self-starter able to initiate action without supervision.
