About the Role

The Technical Program Manager will lead multi-discipline engineering teams for key engineering initiatives, from proof of concept to execution, for next-generation AMD data center system solutions. This role requires a blend of strong leadership and technical acumen to navigate the complexities of data center-driven projects, ensuring seamless interaction between silicon, software, and board elements on next-generation computing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with electrical, firmware, thermal, and mechanical engineering teams to define, design, and verify product hardware.
  • Manage and lead electrical, thermal, and mechanical pathfinding with architects, including design and verification of all system design proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Work with key electro-mechanical vendors to ensure technical deliverables are met, and partner with supply chain managers for vendor selection.
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams—including product design, manufacturing engineering, firmware, and software—to develop cohesive development plans.
  • Lead design issue resolution impacting system design program deliverables.
  • Develop and share best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Master’s in Business Administration or PMI PMP® Certification is a plus.

Skills

  • Experience driving product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs on time and within budget.
  • Experience with hardware development, from foundry and OSAT to platform-level architecture, design, and execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and lead technical teams.
  • Problem-solving capability with confidence to evaluate risks, tradeoffs, and present solution options to executive leadership.
  • Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations.
  • Skilled in interfacing with customers, partners, and managing joint-development projects.
  • Ability to extract actionable plans from complex technical discussions and translate them into clear messaging for varied audiences.
  • Agility in addressing business and technical changes throughout the program lifecycle, both internally and from a customer perspective.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, or Confluence for clear communication and coordination.
  • Familiarity with JAMA, JIRA, and similar systems engineering requirements management and defect-tracking tools.
  • Experience with Agile software and project development methodologies preferred.
  • Proactive with demonstrated creative, situational, and critical-thinking problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to network quickly and independently to align resources toward a common goal.
  • Ability to support limited domestic travel.
  • Previous experience in the semiconductor industry—specifically in New Product Development or Introduction.
