About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation. You’ll join a diverse team of technical program managers, design engineers, construction managers, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards for safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.

We’re seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager in Herndon, VA, Seattle, WA, or Fairless Hills, PA to oversee data center build projects. You will lead cross-functional teams from conceptual design feasibility through scope creation, schedule development, budget management, implementation, commissioning, and deployment. This role requires strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to influence without authority while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to accelerate project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver end-to-end data center build projects.
  • Work with stakeholder teams to map dependencies, create and drive schedules, and solve complex challenges.
  • Apply project management tools, methodologies, and techniques across the project lifecycle.
  • Exhibit expertise in core project management disciplines: scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking.
  • Understand mechanical/electrical engineering concepts and apply technical aptitude to design solutions and remove blockers.
  • Use judgment to prioritize critical path items and drive high-impact decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of project/program management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building and leading large teams in matrixed operating structures.
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint.
  • Experience with Tableau, KanBan, Playbook, SQL, and systems integration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in engineering, management, or technology, or 3+ years of experience directly managing multiple large projects.
  • 4+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is:

  • Fairless Hills, PA: $148,700 – $201,200 USD annually
  • Herndon, VA: $148,700 – $201,200 USD annually
  • Seattle, WA: $148,700 – $201,200 USD annually
