Sr. Technical Account Manager, TAM
About the role
Join AWS Enterprise Support as a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) and help customers across industries—including Automotive, Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Industrial and Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, Telecom, and Big Data—maximize value and service from AWS. This is not a sales role; instead, you will serve as the principal technical advisor and "voice of the customer" to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises, advocating for them with AWS product teams. You will craft and execute technical cloud strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services, including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, AI/ML, Application-level Services, Networking, Serverless, and more.
This position requires travel of 10% or more as needed.
Responsibilities
- Craft and execute technical cloud strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services.
- Represent AWS at customer engagements and drive discussions with senior leadership on operational excellence, cloud maturity, support, and risk management.
- Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to plan and build solutions using best practices.
- Proactively maintain the operational health of customers' AWS environments.
- Develop close relationships with customers to understand their business and technical challenges, helping them achieve maximum value from AWS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design, implementation, operations, or consulting experience with distributed applications.
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to apply them to customer architectures, implementations, or solutions.

Pay
The base salary range for this position varies by location:
- USA, CA, Mountain View: $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, San Diego: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, GA, Atlanta: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, NY, New York: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Dallas: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
Your compensation package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
