Sr. Technical Account Manager, TAM
About the role
Join AWS Enterprise Support as a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) and help customers across industries—including Automotive, Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Industrial and Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, Telecom, and Big Data—maximize value and service from AWS. As a principal technical advisor and "voice of the customer," you will influence organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises, serving as their advocate to AWS product teams. This role focuses on technical guidance and customer success, not sales.
You will craft and execute technical cloud strategies to drive AWS adoption, represent AWS in customer discussions on operational excellence and cloud maturity, and provide strategic guidance using best practices. By building close relationships, you will understand customer needs and challenges, helping them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position requires up to 10% travel.
Responsibilities
- Craft and execute technical cloud strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services.
- Serve as the principal technical advisor and "voice of the customer" to AWS product teams.
- Engage with senior leadership on operational excellence, cloud maturity, support, and risk management.
- Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance for planning and building solutions using AWS best practices.
- Proactively maintain the operational health of customers' AWS environments.
- Understand customer business and technical challenges to help them achieve maximum value from AWS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, operations, or consulting with distributed applications.
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience as a technical lead in internal enterprise or external customer-facing roles.
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to apply them to customer architectures.

Pay
- USA, CA, Mountain View: $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, San Diego: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, GA, Atlanta: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, NY, New York: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Dallas: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
Compensation includes base salary, sign-on payments, and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
