Sr. Technical Account Manager, Sr. TAM
About the role
At AWS Enterprise Support we’re looking for a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) to influence the largest enterprises in the world to gain the best value and service from AWS. In the role, you will support our customers’ creative and transformative spirit of innovation across technology areas, such as Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, AI/ML, Networking, Serverless and more. You will have the opportunity to be the technical leader to Fortune 500 enterprises while being their advocate, and ‘voice of the customer’ to AWS product teams.
Responsibilities
- Craft and execute technical cloud strategies to drive customers’ adoption and use of AWS services.
- Represent AWS at customer sites and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding operational excellence, cloud maturity, support, and risk management.
- Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to plan and build solutions using best practices.
- Proactively keep customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.
- Develop close relationships to understand business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help customers achieve the greatest value from AWS.
- Travel 10% or more as needed.
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience.
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

The base salary range for this position is:
- Mountain View, CA: $176,600.00 – $239,000.00 USD annually
- San Diego, CA: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
- Atlanta, GA: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
- New York, NY: $169,000.00 – $228,600.00 USD annually
- Dallas, TX: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
- Arlington, VA: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
- Bellevue, WA: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
- Seattle, WA: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
