Telework: None Basic Requirements Security+ Cert15 years of experience as a System AdministratorBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree Job Description The System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Required Experience Experience using the Linux CLIExperience developing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environmentGeneral technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system componentsExperience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solutionFamiliarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big dataExperience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environmentsExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and proceduresExperience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker Desired Experience Experience with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFSExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence Salary: $235,000 - $245,000 annually Excellent benefits package including 25 days PTO, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and dependents – available day 1, 8% 401(k) employer match – immediate vesting.
