Sr. Support Engineer - SAP FICO (Finance, Controlling & Product Costing)

Accountabilities

• Provide advanced functional and technical support for mission-critical SAP environments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, resolving complex issues, improving system performance, and ensuring successful delivery of SAP support services.
• Provide expert-level SAP FICO support with a strong focus on Controlling (CO), Product Costing (CO-PC), and Material Ledger.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to month-end closing, costing processes, variance analysis, and financial controlling.
• Perform root cause analysis in highly customized SAP environments and develop effective corrective solutions.
• Support integration scenarios across SAP modules including FI, MM, SD, and PS.
• Provide expertise in Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and CO-PA (Profitability Analysis).
• Support SAP Project Systems (PS), including WBS structures and project cost integration.
• Work directly with clients to diagnose issues, provide recommendations, and deliver a high-quality support experience.
• Collaborate with technical teams, including development and integration specialists, to resolve defects and implement fixes.
• Develop application corrections, data fixes, and technical documentation.
• Support global customers within a 24/7 service environment while maintaining service level commitments.
• Contribute to knowledge management, process improvements, and continuous enhancement of support practices.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate is a senior SAP professional with extensive experience supporting enterprise financial systems and solving complex production challenges.
• You should combine strong SAP FICO expertise with excellent analytical skills, client communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong specialization in SAP FICO and Controlling (CO).
• Deep hands-on expertise with Product Costing (CO-PC) and Material Ledger.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proven experience troubleshooting month-end close issues, costing variances, and settlement processes.
• Strong understanding of CO-FI integration and cross-functional SAP processes involving MM, SD, and PS.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) configuration and support.
• Experience working in SAP production support environments.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting capabilities, including complex issue debugging.
• Able to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience working independently within global, virtual teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Exposure to FSCM, Treasury, Asset Accounting, ABAP debugging, or development collaboration is a plus.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to manage issues end-to-end.
• Comfortable working with complex and highly customized SAP landscapes.
