Sr Subrogation Recovery Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Researches, documents and recap coverage and loss information.
• Communicates over the phone to ensure understanding of reports and documents.
• Evaluates losses to determine potential total losses using established procedures.
• Interprets statutes and case laws to build strong cases for coverage and liability.
• Fills subrogation claims in Arbitration Forums with persuasive arguments.
• Provides prompt, friendly, courteous, accurate, and helpful service.
• Contacts customers, insureds, claimants, attorneys or others to obtain or clarify information.
• Proficiently uses MS Office applications and PDF documents.
• Adapts to occasional high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with claims-handling procedures.
• Performs other various duties as assigned.
• Works independently with little to no supervision.
• Handles more complex/higher exposure claims.
• Assists the team manager in assignment/assessment of claims.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
• Attends and handles mediation/arbitrations on other team members' cases in addition to their own.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor's degree preferred
• 7+ years handling personal auto claims, exhibiting property-casualty or subrogation experience
• Ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects
• Strong written and oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Effective advanced interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external clients
