Sr. Strategic Commodity Spec. , Amazon Prime Air - Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Data & Annotation (MPSD&A)
Ultra fast drone delivery is live and delivering to customers! Prime Air - Amazon's ultra fast drone delivery service is growing and scaling. Our teams of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and futurists are solving how to deliver items quickly, cost-effectively, and safely in less than an hour at scale.
About the role
Amazon Prime Air is building the future of autonomous drone delivery. We are looking for a Sr. Commodity Manager to drive key focused procurement commodity strategies for critical drone hardware, ground systems hardware, and technical services—including but not limited to propulsion systems, perception modules, structures, and electronic components. You will define multi-year supply chain strategies, lead complex supplier transitions, and directly influence how Prime Air scales.
This is not a transactional purchasing role. You will determine the "where, who, and how" of our supply base, make high-judgment source decisions balancing cost, quality, and risk aligned with program requirements, and build mechanisms to enable procurement at Amazon scale. You will collaborate at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and finance—serving as the strategic procurement voice in vehicle program decisions, trade studies, and make-vs-buy analyses.
