Sr. Solutions Engineer, SLED (West)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer, SLED (West) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will partner closely with sales to support public sector accounts across the West region, combining technical expertise with customer-facing presentation skills. The Sr. Solutions Engineer will help shape security strategies, lead proof-of-concept engagements, and translate complex cybersecurity requirements into practical solutions. Success in this role will depend on strong collaboration with sales and technical teams, as well as the ability to influence outcomes throughout the sales cycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to strategize territory and account campaigns
• Analyze customer security architecture requirements
• Document sales cycle components and engineer responsibilities
• Lead proof-of-concept and value engagements
• Deliver technical presentations to customers
• Ensure order fulfillment and product standards
• Advise customers on cost-effective product improvements
• Collaborate with the technical team and share best practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity, especially endpoint defense
• Experience in objection handling against competitors
• Public speaking skills for small to large audiences
• Strong written and oral communication skills for presentations
• Experience selling to mid-size and large clients
• 1st-level technical support throughout the sales process
• Knowledge of hacking tools and methodologies

Pay

$196,000 – $270,000 annually
